BFS stalwart Allen Ashley is to co-host a regular Jazz and Poetry event at the Dugdale Theatre, Enfield, along with poet Sarah Doyle (featured in “BFS Journal” and “Unspoken Water”).

Music is provided by top London jazz band Special Edition. First date is 7pm Sunday 10 February 2013 and tickets are only £11 for a great evening’s entertainment.

At this first date, Allen will be performing an extended set including two space themed poems; with full accompaniment from the house band.

Allen Ashley will be running a regular, weekly writing group at Alexandra Park Library, London N22 from Wednesday 19 September 2012. The group is called “Ways into Writing” and will be particularly suited to beginner writers, those who enjoy writing as a hobby, as well as those who want to start getting published or be published more frequently.
