With regards to the review of Wine and Rank Poison...surely David would have chosen a better pseudonym if he was up to what he's being accused of? Wouldn't he?  Shocked

I have to say though, the evidence doesn't look too good.

Given the furore surrounding Bull Running For Girls, I would have thought anything other than absolute transparency would have been viewed as a definite no-no. Personally, I don't think David should have published a review written under a pseudonym for any subject whatsoever. I'm not a reviewer so I don't know if this is common practice but it seems rather strange to me.

Another quick update to report that my story 'Home By the Sea' is due to appear next year in The Eighth Black Book of Horror, edited by Charles Black (Mortbury Press). I've seen a few others mention that they're also in it, and it's looking to be another good one. More information as I get it.

Also delighted to say that I will be appearing in an anthology of weird/Gothic bird stories edited by Nicholas Royle, to be published by Two Ravens Press in the latter part of 2011. This acceptance in particular is incredibly important to me; Nicholas Royle is one of my favourite writers, and quite possibly the main reason why I was drawn to contemporary dark fiction in the first place. Since I first stumbled across a story of his in Fear magazine back in the late 80s, I've loved almost everything he's done, so it's an honour to be appearing in one of his books.
Again, I'll post more information as I get it.

7  Fantasy / Ask the Authors and Artists! / Re: Conrad Williams on: July 14, 2010, 08:48:30 PM
Hands down, 'One' is easily the best novel I read last year, and possibly my favourite ever post-apocalyptic fiction (and that's a lot to measure against). Best of luck with the award, Conrad.

Hi Kate. It was lovely to meet you in Brighton.

I enjoyed reading FHtE when you mentioned it on RCMB. Good to see you doing so well. Looking forward to reading some more of your work.

Happy to report that my story, 'The Toymaker of Bremen' has been accepted to appear in the final Nemonymous, Null Immortalis, edited by the inimitable D F Lewis. I'm cock-a-hoop!

The details are here - http://weirdmonger.blog-city.com/null_immortalis.htm

I'm genuinely thrilled to be in the company of such good writers, many of who have been a huge source of inspiration over the years.

Ha ha, Simon. I can laugh because I was born in Nottinghamshire. Smiley

Hope to have a drink again soon. I haven't seen anything organised.
