This may be old news to some folk but it was new to me... seasons 1 and 2 of the original OUTER LIMITS have just been released in boxed-set form. Available from www.dvdboxoffice.com (a personal favourite for Region 1 -- Canadian-based site with low prices and free worldwide shipping) and www.playusa.com (can be slightly more expensive but still cheaper than most, also free shipping), no doubt along with loads of other sites that I haven't tested out.

If your DVD machine isn't multiregional, check out the hacks section of the DVD Reviewer site. A simple code entered via the remote control removes the region coding on most machines with no damage or negative effect on performance.

I've got both of the Outer Limits box sets and they're excellent value.  Most of the stories stand up really well today.  My personal favourite changes all the time, but I have a deep affection for Demon With A Glass Hand.

When you say excellent value, how much is excellent value and how many discs are there.

Although Twilight Zone had the better tune, I always thought The Outer Limits had the better opening credits. "Do not try to adjust your television set...." I even like the Simpson's take on the credits.

I think Demon With a Glass Hand is one everyone mentions. I even like the new series too.

Wayne.

I always thought of The Twilight Zone being for everyone, whereas The Outer Limits was hardcore.
