I've heard something on another board about there being another open evening in York on 31st October (but not at the Brewery this time). Is that true? Can't find anything about it on here. Perhaps it's only been advertised in Prism or somewhere, which I don't get as I'm not a member (keep thinking about rejoining - honest I do!). In which case, are non-members still welcome?

Any info on this gratefully received. I'm hoping I might be able to come along to it this time.

I haven't heard anything about one yet, but maybe it's in the new Prism. If it's in York it'll probably be Lee organising it.

Good news - Lee is planning one for that date.

Once the venue and details are confirmed we'll post the info in the usual places, including here in the forum.

Good news. If there's an upcoming York meeting on 31/10 I'm looking forward to attend. The date 31 October - Halloween - seems appropriate for a BFS meeting.  Smiley

Can't make the 31st which is a shame - daughter's birthday sleepover that night.

Good luck with the ON. But could you give much more notice next time, so I can arrange things?

And I'm afraid I've realised I can't manage that date either - I've got a Doctor Who convention in Lancashire booked the same day.
* thinks: I might regret having admitted to that here *

I've been trying to confirm whether this event is going ahead, and where it will be, but no luck so far.

Unfortunately, this won't be going ahead. Cry

However - the next one is confirmed for Saturday 30th January at York Brewery.

Ah, in a way that's good from my point of view as I might be able to make the January one.  Smiley

Is there any more news yet about the York open evening on the 30th? Is it definitely happening? Is there something in particular planned (like the readings we had at one of them a while ago), or is it a straight "drink 'n chat" do?
