I really want to get one successful mailing under our belt, so we can show we're taking effective steps to improve things. With the mass pile-up that was the September and December mailings finally out of the way, Helen's really making great inroads into everything now.

So far the signs are good - in particular, that I'm the one holding things up!

Helen has been sending out email reminders, but we need to investigate why they haven't been getting through - we suspect they're getting caught in anti-spam traps. Beginning with the March mailing, there should be a renewal notice in the envelopes of anyone who needs one, which is something we've wanted for a while.

I'll post this here as the author/artist idea sprung up from this thread. I know some people paste images all the time but some of our members have been having a few little problems and forget to place the backslash...so I'm just reminding them here.

Find image on the 'net.
Right click on it.
Scroll down to properties and left click.
Highlight address and control C to copy.
Where you want to paste it open with square bracket img close with square bracket control V to paste address then open with square bracket /img close with square bracket.

Bear in mind though that that will leech bandwidth (or at least I think it will), so make sure the picture is taken from a big site like Amazon.

A REQUEST

One of the contributors to the Yearbook never received their complimentary copy, but we are now completely sold out of the book.

Is there anyone out there who has a copy they no longer want?  Maybe someone ended up with two copies?

If so, can you get in touch with me, and maybe we can sort out a copy for the contributor.
