Wicked Delights

John Llewellyn Probert’s filth fifth short story collection – containing 18 delicious selections across 352 delectable pages – mixes the cruel with the carnal, the sadistic with the sexual, the erotic with the outrageous, to bring you tales of a cuckolded husband’s terrible revenge, the television channel where you can pay off your debts but at the worst price imaginable, the man willing to do anything to improve his chances of success with the ladies, a marriage guidance counsellor who goes to bloody extremes to prove her point, the woman who will do anything to keep her family, and a city made entirely from human bone. All of this, and the last Christmas ever, just to make things even more cheery!

These are at the printers now, and will be on-sale at World HorrorCon in Brighton. Or, head to the “STORE” on the site and pre-purchase using VISA, MC or PAYPAL you can ensure a copy is sent to you in Britain as soon as I have a moment during the week after WHC, or arrive mid-April if you're in North America.

It comes in one ‘Trade’ edition as follows:
  • ISBN: 978−0−9811597−2−0
  • $39.99 (CAN/USA) – £22.99 (UK)
  • bound in a jacket-less hardback biding

Advance Praise for Wicked Delights:

Quote
The delightfully wicked Mr Probert wields his prose like a scalpel. His imagination is impressively warped and gruesome, and yet his tales have an unrepentantly English reticence. There’s dark humour here, and unexpected poignancy — indeed, the book is as full of surprises as the man himself. Horror is lucky to have him.

I love JLP's stuff - true old-style Gothic nastiness.

To paraphrase RH's Brian Aldiss quote: "Saliva already forming on chin, collecting in large tureen poised under drooling lips."

But alas, £22.99 seems a bit of a hefty price tag for the average Joe's pocket (including me).

Will there be a (cheaper) e-book version available?

All Atomic Fez books are/will be able available as e-books simultaneous with their paper brothers (although Rhys Hughes's is available now) and all are priced at $9.99 CAD/USD, or — depending on the exchange rate that day — a bit over a fiver in God's Own Currency (aka: "£UK").

Kobo handles e-books in a world-wide mass-market way, or you can/will be able to download a *zip file from the site in five different DRM-free formats.

for more information and specifics about the electronic book formats available from Atomic Fez, this page on the site ought to provide all the details you ought to need.
