Just to let everyone know, the next issue of Prism will be at the printers shortly,in time for the March mailing. It will be 56 pages long and have a brilliant black and white cover by Dave Carson, artist Guest of Honour at the World Horror Convention in Brighton and a five times winner of the BFS award for Best Artist.

The next issue has been delivered to the BFS by the printer and will be sent out to everyone with the next posting, along with Dark Horizons.  Hope you like it!

After a long stint in the job Mike Chinn has stepped down as Comics and Graphic Novels editor for Prism. Jay Eales, though, has volunteered to step in to replace Mike from our next issue in June. Jay is a former editor of Prism. He was also the News Editor for Borderline, an award-winning comics magazine and, with his other half, has been publishing comics since 2002.

Next issue will feature a regular new column by John L. Probert, which will be "reviews or essays on the old, the obscure and the downright silly (eg Naschy's Hunchback of the Morgue, Psychomania, films of Narciso Ibanez Serrador etc)."

I also intend to feature interviews with writers, publishers, etc. The current issue includes an interview with Johnny Mains, who will be launching his first anthology, The Pan Books of Horror, Back from the Dead, and was instrumental in persuading Pan Macmillan to reprint the very first Pan Book of Horror later this year on its 50th anniversary.

That's good news, David -- look forward to reading it. As for new columns and interviews: excellent, but don't forget that "fantasy" is a w-i-d-e church, not just horror

I'll certainly keep reminding myself of that, Peter. And if I do forget, I'll rely on you to remind me.

PS I even wrote a full-length fantasy novel once myself, which is available as an e-book, so I do have some fantasy credentials, I suppose. I've even had a couple of sf stories published too. How broad a church is that? But I know what you mean.
