Ok, nobody's interested in that question. As an *alternative*, the next 'first person' can answer this question so as to win a CERN ZOO: In which country was the photograph taken on the cover of CERN ZOO?

You'll enjoy it, Colin - I guarantee it! Des - the only reason I'm not entering your competitions is because I've got all the Nemos anyway!

Me too. I've got an entire roomful of issue six... The children pile them all up to create imaginary castles.

I think my copy of issue 6 went missing somewhere. I've looked everywhere, but I just can't see it! But seriously ... more people who haven't had the pleasure of reading these wonderful publications from Des should take advantage of these competitions. Come on folks, get your thinking caps on!

The Sadd Theatre and at a guess Geneva, Switzerland for the statue although some weird compulsion made me think that it could be Cerne Abbas in Dorset.

Hi, Degsy, the Sadd Theatre is correct for the story I read aloud. So you win a CERN ZOO. Please contact me with your address at dflewis48@hotmail.comThe question, however, about the cover of CERN ZOO has not yet been answered correctly. So the first person (other than previous winners) on this board to tell me in which country the photo was taken will also win a CERN ZOO. Over to you.

I'm intrigued by the statue. From the angle of the photo it looks like a woman being bitten by a giant vampiric Pangolin - and you don't see many of those.
Is it a random photo or is there a link to one of the stories inside CERN ZOO? Still racking my brains.

Well, Jay, is correct, with Norway. Vigeland Park, Oslo, to be precise. I took the photo. It is a giant lizard hugging a young womanl from behind. If that was a 'wild stab', that's incredible. It led to this blog entry of mine: http://weirdmonger.blog-city.com/only_connect.htmAnyway, Jay, give me your address at dflewis48@hotmail.com and you will receive CERN ZOO.

I'd never heard of Gustav Vigeland before, so out of curiosity I googled the Vigeland Park website: http://www.vigeland.museum.noA fascinating mixture of the beautiful and the bizarre, plus the overpowering effects of having a museum entirely devoted to one artist (I remember the Rodin museum in Paris being a bit like this). I'll definitely put this place on a future itinerary. The monoliths in particular look incredible (I see now that you have a picture of one on your Terry Grimwood review page).

Yes, without doubt, one of the most truly amazing experiences of my life - being taken there, without warning, by a coach driver who had time to killl on our tour in Norway (a coach trip from England with Shearings). Here is one of my photos you refer to:

Now... This is very difficult. The first person (including winners above) who posts on this board the correct nature and geographical place of the photograph (taken by me in 1970) on the cover of ZENCORE! (Nemonymous Seven) will receive all nine editions of Nemonymous from 2001, including the forthcoming one in 2010 (Null Immortalis).
