Hey nice work, Andrew.
What kind of crime is it? The title sounds intriguing. Is there a big spec element?

It's kind of noir but set in the present day (I've used this detective character before in short stories). There *could* be a speculative element, and whether there might be or not is part of the story, so I shouldn't really reveal it

Hadn't seen that market, thanks for giving me the head up.
I've got some Thompson in the reading pile. Read a bit of Chandler and James M Cain this year.

Some good news: my fourth short story collection, "Shipping Tomorrow Backwards", will be published by Dog Horn Publishing around Easter next year. This will feature 21 short stories, 6 of which will be new to the collection (unless I sell them in the meantime).

First short story sale of the year is "Space Gun" to Needle magazine.
Also my new collection of short stories, "Shipping Tomorrow Backwards", to be published by DogHorn later this year has changed it's titled to "Nitrospective". More on that as it comes...

Well done on being appointed a judge on the World Fantasy Award. That must be pretty exciting!

I've got 100 books on my reading pile as it is! Apparently, the first package has arrived at the house this afternoon...
