Solaris has released an online copy of one of the stories from its anthology of horror stories set in and around the Underground. “The Lure”, by Nicholas Royle, is now available as a free download. Both it and The End of the Line anthology were nominated last month for the prestigious British Fantasy Awards. Download “The Lure” as a PDF from Solaris’ website.  Royle’s first novel for Solaris, Regicide, will be published in September.

I'm possibly a little late in making this available, but if anyone has yet to vote and would like to consider my shortlisted story, "The Beautiful Room", it has been made available as a pdf courtesy of the publisher, Nightjar Press.

And if you like it and would like a physical copy, signed by the author, you can buy a copy (£3) from Nightjar by emailing: nicholasroyle@mac.com

Jared means Ray Russell's link - it doesn't work for me either (something funny about the i).

This one should work: http://tartaruspress.com/beautifulroomrussell.pdf

Many thanks Rolnikov! (There seemed to be some extraneous code sneaked into the original link.) I hope you enjoy it...

Well thanks for the links but things have been a little busy and I've not read any of the novellas so I've not voted in that cat. I have voted now and so has my wife. Good luck to you all.

I should have said sooner I'm actually one f the contributors to The Shrieking 60's which covers all British Horror films from the 60's. I real labour of love from Darrell which took a number of years. I did 3 reviews of the many. The Blood Beast Terror is one guilty pleasure.

The book has gone so well he is putting together a book on the 80's. I have agreed to review The Comic amongst others, anyone who has seen this will now pity me.

Ten Years of Terror by Harry Fenton was the inspiration and covers the 70's. A new addition is due but exactly when nobody is sure.

Wayne.

A lot of tough choices!

I'm disappointed to be missing the awards ceremony this year - it's an amazing event - but I'll be keeping an eye out on Twitter.
