Prism is the newsletter of the British Fantasy Society. It is published four times a year, in March, June, September and December. The editor of Prism is David A. Riley.

History

The BFS has published a regular bulletin since May 1971, first as The Bulletin and from 1982 as the British Fantasy Newsletter. Later it became Prism UK, before settling upon its current name.

The first 30-odd issues, edited by David Sutton (except issue one) were mimeographed publications. In 1974, editors David Riley and Jim Pitts moved to lithographic reproduction (and the quality steadily improved). Other editors during this period included Gordon Larkin, Dave Reeder, and (Paul) Carl Hiles.

In 1982, Stephen Jones and Jo Fletcher took over the magazine, and gave it a revamped, professional image. Editors since then have included Carl Hiles, Peter Coleborn, John Gilbert, Graham Evans, David Howe, Debbie Bennett, Jane Prior, Melissa Murphy, Jenny Barber, Jay Eales and Selina Lock, and Lee Harris.

Past columnists have included Tom Holt.
